2nd Annual Tea Party Converge on the Capitol

The 2nd Annual Tea Party Converge on the Capitol is scheduled for Monday, January 17, a week after the Idaho Legislature convenes.

We would like your help in several ways:

1. We are recruiting a planning committee - let me know f you are interested in helping. I would like your name, email, phone and city you are from. We want to have a state wide planning committee - so we want all areas of the state included. We already have 5 - 6 members recruited but would like to have 12 - 15 so get in touch.

2. Help promote this event - get it on calendars - talk about in your local and regional groups. Help work up interest in the event and help coordinate participation.

3. Host Committee - we want to bring together a group in the Boise area to help with hosting and housing individuals and groups coming in Sunday for the Monday event.

4. Let me know if you know of others around Idaho who are not on this list who might be willing to help.

We are working on setting up a logo and website to share information around the state. We have a great volunteer in Coeur d'Alene who is going to help us in these areas.

The 2nd Annual Idaho Tea Party: Converge on the Capitol is scheduled for Monday, January 17, 2011. We wanted to get this date out to you early so you could begin plans to travel to Boise for this non-to-be-missed event.

The Tea Party is Monday - Martin Luther King Day - and many people have the day off and there is free parking in Boise for the day because it is a holiday. We will be having our rally on the Capitol steps at 11 am and music and booths in Capitol Park from 10 am.

We will be sharing more information in the days to come but want to get this on your calendar. We are hoping that a delegation will come from every corner of the state as we meet at the Idaho Capitol to speak to our legislators and elected officials.

Please let me know the email of other groups who would be interested in receiving information on the Tea Party: Converge on the Capitol. We want to make sure everyone is informed that would like to be involved. Help us spread the word. Send email addresses to me to be included in future e-mails. We want to involve as many groups across Idaho as possible - Tea Party, 912, Campaign For Liberty, etc.

I am putting together a planning committee to help with the logistics - if you are interested let me know. I already have recruited several people.
